400gsm is heavy. Most sweatshirts sit between 280 and 320 — this one holds its shape, drapes rather than clings, and doesn't thin out at the elbows after a season. Loopback construction leaves the inner face open rather than brushed flat, so it breathes as it softens. Knitted and made up in Barcelos, in northern Portugal, where the mills have been doing this for generations.
Machine wash at 30°. Do not tumble dry. The cotton will soften with every wash — this is by design. Iron inside out on a low heat if needed. Do not dry clean.
